MiraCosta College’s Fall Semester Starts August 20; Register Now
MiraCosta College’s Fall 2018 semester starts on August 20 with hundreds of class offerings in dozens of subjects. Now is a great time to work toward a degree or certificate, get started in the workplace, transfer to a four-year university, or just simply for personal enrichment, professional growth or to gain a new skill.
“To be competitive in the fast-changing San Diego job market and make more money, workers need more than a high school degree,” said Dr. Sunny Cooke Superintendent/President of the MiraCosta Community College District.
Enrollment is on the increase at MiraCosta but great classes are still available, including transfer-level courses in these disciplines: Accounting, Administration of Justice, Anthropology, Art, Astronomy, Automotive Technology, Biology, Biomanufacturing, Biotechnology, Business Administration, Business Office Technology, Chemistry, Child Development, Computer Studies/Science, Counseling, Dance, Design, Drama, Earth Sciences, Economics, English, Film, Health, History, Horticulture, Hospitality, Humanities, Kinesiology, Literature, Massage, Math, Media Arts & Technologies, Medical Administrative Professional, Music, Music Technology, Oceanography, Philosophy, Physical Science, Physics, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology and Spanish.
Classes are offered during the day, evening, weekends and online. Don’t miss out on late-start classes either: MiraCosta offers a wide selection of classes that begin the week of September 4 and conclude at the same time as “regular” courses.
The enrollment fee is a bargain at just $46 per unit for California residents. This fee is waived for concurrently enrolled high school students. For more information, to register for classes or to request a class schedule, call 760.757.2121 or visit miracosta.edu. Financial aid and scholarships are available.
