I would of given this place 4 stars instead of 5 is because the manager Jennifer was rude while I'll was trying to calm down my son by blowing bubbles. She was upset saying I was getting the floor wet, she had an attitude and threw a towel on the floor. I also want to give thanks to Maria for always making my son feel comfortable while getting a haircut! Thanks for your positive attitude Maria.

Five stars for Ashley and Rona. Initially made an appointment for my son, but my twin girls wanted to get a haircut too, because of everything fun this place offers. From the car chairs to video game playing, balloons, lollipops, complimentary nails with girls haircuts, this place and the ladies mentioned above made our experience fabulous. we will be back!

First, I want to add that we've been here previously with my oldest when she was 4 and had a wonderful experience years ago in 2018. So I was excited to bring my girls back here after returning to the states from living overseas the last few years, (they don't have anything like this over where we were), and it was now my second oldest daughters turn for her glam day for her 6th birthday. We arrived promptly on time for her scheduled appt. And were instantly greeted with a cold demeanor from the hairstylist who didn't really seem interested in taking her and tried to hand her off almost within seconds of arriving. We changed our original booking of tinsel to a clip in because the stylist was either not comfortable doing it or just didn't want to take the time to do it. The front desk young woman was kind and the only happy face in there. I could tell there was annoyance and pressure perhaps from current sitting clients parents monitoring, and asking for corrections - it was obvious there was frustrations. However, it took roughly 30-40 minutes before my daughter was seen and by the time she was seen, her haircut was rushed and didn't turn out that great. She didn't receive a wash or anything extra - it was strictly dry cut, clip in placed (after being reminded, which that's fine were all human and have off days). However, I paid nearly $50 for a ragged hair cut, cold experience, and uncomfortable one at that, the hair cut I could've given at home better. I was pretty disappointed with the service and the attitudes surrounding the KIDS environment. My daughter was asked if she wanted a style like a 'braid or to leave it' she responded to just leave it and was met back with 'good'. Again, this merely could've been an off day for the individual behind the chair, which is why I am choosing to not name them, but it was enough to keep us from returning to this location. It seems as though it's gone a little downhill since our last visit.

I am not a Karen or like to complain and just let it slide because maybe I could be wrong too. But today, I made an appointment for my 2 children and had no idea who the stylist was gonna be and it's usually ladies there and they're fantastic. But today it was this Austin guy. First thing first when he walked in . He seems like he was having. Bad day and not wanting to work. I showed a picture of what I want and he answered w/an Attitude. Kids was crying from across and he was giving them a bad look and mumbling to himself. Ok? I showed him another pic with an attitude and says "that's the same thing" ok fine. I asked him if that's how long my son's hair was gonna be and give me an answer "I'm already cutting it" w/ an attitude and face expression like I'm stupid. Ok fine, he asked the front desk if he was gonna cut my youngest hair. N yes. I was already over with his attitude and just trying to stay calm. So I asked front desk if the other lady can just cut my youngest . Since she's used to kids crying and knows not handle them. He heard it and left my son to go the computer and canceled my other sons and left my other son there sitting and didn't continue and just left? I've already told the front desk if he's having a bad day or if something is wrong with him and if I could have a Maria cut my youngest bc I already know he will not tolerate if he starts crying or not wanting to get his hair cut. At that point I'm already pissed off and I just wanted to get my kids their haircut instead of leaving and walking out. I never yell or curse at somebody as a customer. But I couldn't take anymore and confronted him if he had a problem or was having a bad day and that's when we started yelling at each other while my kids was around and telling me I was asking "stupid asks questions" as a customer n u cutting my hair . I have every right to ask and let u know what I want wi/ my kids. U don't give customer attitude and if you're having a bad day and don't want to work. Don't come to work and take it out on other ppl and don't tell your customers to go to hell and tell them fuck u stupid ass bitch! Wow. He shouldn't be aloud to work there and ruin this place because everyone else there are amazing.

I love this place as it's so geared towards being kid-friendly. My daughter loves coming because when she gets a haircut, not only does she get a haircut, but she gets a braid and cute clip as well as getting her nails done. To finish up, she also gets to walk out with a balloon of her choice. While she is getting her hair cut she gets to sit in a car or a seat and watch a movie or cartoons while she gets it cut. They really do a great job of making it enjoyable.

So my little one got her first hair cut today... and boy am I glad we came here.
First I made an appointment online this morning and wasn't hard at all took only 2 minutes.
Next selected first haircut option, unaware of all the benefits it came with, but man it's worth it once I saw what it came with after everything was finished.
So we got there early right when they reopened after lunch at 1, our appointment was at 1:30. My daughter just kinda ran around the waiting room looking at everyone, and playing with a ballon. Next Amy called us up when it was our turn and she was apple to get my girl to sit down in a shampoo chair, but my little one was scared to lean back so she didn't wash her hair. But she said it was okay and she wanted it to just be a good experience.
Next Amy pulled her to the chair and was talking to her and kept her calm, but my little was being very shy and curious about what was happening. I thank goodness though Amy was careful not to pull her hair or spray her face with water because our little one fights hair brushing at home.
Next she styled her hair and let her pick the clips that we're going in her hair.
After that she got her over to the chair to paint her nails and let her pick a ring. After all that she gave her a ballon, took her picture and gave us the picture, lock of her hair, & first haircut certificate.
Amy was amazing and awesome and I will definitely be taking my little girls back here to see Amy in the future.
Highly recommend.
Pros: Hair packages & even party packages, things to keep kids occupied, great experience, military discount
Cons: not any really that I experiencedHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Nicole G.Carlsbad, CA12411Oct 29, 2023
Fun environment for kids but quality has gone downhill after Tammie and the other experienced stylist left. I showed ours two pictures of what my son wanted (of his hair on him) and we certainly didn't leave with that. She asked after she shaved a chunk of hair off of it was a good length. Also, my son has a cowlick in the front that she didn't seem to notice until the very end. Tammie used to cut around it and we didn't need gel. Our stylist today (Kristina) seemed to think gel was the answer. Time to look for a new place...

It was my daughters first time getting a haircut and the stylist had ZERO patience nor was understanding. She was telling my daughter to do unrealistic things for her age like tuck your chin or stay still. She didn't even try to make my daughter comfortable. Midway her nail polish she stood up and told the front desk girl to finish my daughter - this new girl was way better. If you're not ok dealing with children then please don't work at a place for children! Not coming back !!!!

Hair stylist yelled at my 2 year old.
Hear me out, I know that it takes some time to cut my kiddo's hair and some patience... which is why I went to a KIDS stylist and payed more for it too... but honestly great clips did a better job and was much nicer.
When we got there the hairstyle said hi and my kiddo didn't want to say hi, she's shy (specially around unknown men). He asked me if I wanted a cut and wash but then proceeded to say "you don't want the wash, right?" Umm okay? I guess she doesn't need it. She sat on my lap and he started brushing her hair and trying to put the cape over her so the hair wouldn't fall on her. Which freaked her out she was started to wiggle around and try to hug me. So he then started brushing harder and yelled "what's wrong with you? Haven't you ever gotten a hair cut before?!". I eventually said "do you want me to get a video on my phone?" And he said yes... not sure why this is necessary... they literally have TVs but this was never offered
The hair cute took less than 2 minutes, I know this because that's how long the YouTube video played
It was uneven and my kid was SO upset, they then changed me $40+ for this excellent service. To be fair I did decline the free nail polish bc my kid was so over it. It was a horrible experience!
Save you $$$
Go down the road to great clips on mission, for half the price you get nice patient staff who wait for your kiddo to get comfortable, show them the tools before they use them and get even hair cuts, no yelling, no cell phones needed.. just nice stylistsHelpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ydali I.Rolando Village, San Diego, CA572414Nov 30, 2023
They understood the assignment. Nobody is ever able to cut my sons hair because he is on the spectrum and has sensory issues, but they were very patient with him. He cried, said he wanted to go home, yet they took their time. Will definitely come here again.
