I am indebted to Premier Dental Arts for 2 things:
1) Identifying a faulty crown from my prior dentist (also highly rated, by the way) and strongly urging me to have them rectify it (which they did, agreeing with Dr. Saadatmandi's assessment), and
2) Giving me the best dental cleaning I've had in years (by a dedicated, professional dental hygienist).
It's a pleasant office with nice staff and professionals doing their best in the interests of their patients. That works for me!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Isabel K.Carlsbad, CA064Oct 10, 2023
Have been going to this dental office for years, and my hubby and I love it, as much as one can love going to the dentist in the first place! Dr. Hoss is gentle yet thorough and only recommends work that is really needed. Sam, the dental hygienist, is so careful when cleaning your teeth! It's the first time I actually don't mind having them done. The assistants in the office from the front desk and throughout are all so friendly and nice, and remember your name when you walk in the door! Well, today I finally did something I've wanted to do for years, I had my teeth whitened! Vivie was great, and I love the look of my new teeth! At 67 yrs old, I can finally give a full smile! Here are the before and after results.

Really wanted to like this dental office. Scheduled a dental cleaning and was able to be seen within a week or two in the afternoon, which helped because of work hours.
The front desk staff, dental assistant, and the hygienist were friendly and helpful at answering my questions/concerns, and did a great job overall. The dentist came in for a consult and explained that one of my teeth was most likely in need of a crown, and went through the relevant treatment plan which would include an all porcelain/ceramic crown.
The team provided me with a quote, where my Delta Dental PPO insurance covered 60%, but it looked to be double what I had paid in the past upon closer review. Gave them a call to understand the charges, since the procedure code was not for a full porcelain/ceramic crown, despite them insisting that it was, but included high noble metal.
The dentist had also shared that their crowns were done in house, but was being charged a lab fee of $439 that was not covered by insurance. All in all, the amount being charged was not including insurance coverage of 60% or 50%, nor did it add up. Once I pointed out that the procedure code was in fact not for an all porcelain/ceramic crown, the billing staff didn't have an answer.
To my surprise, she pointed out that my last dentist actually billed a gold crown (despite using the same strategy of saying and quoting that it would be all porcelain/ceramic).
All in all, still looking for a trustworthy dentist. Thumbs down. :(Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Hi Gloria thank you for your feedback. I’m sorry your previous dentist billed you for something that they didn’t do. Per our contract with your insurance we must provide you with the options that are covered by them. Any material or service that is not covered is considered optional per their contract. As such we must show you the covered material which in this case was the porcelain to metal crown, the “Lab Fee” is for the optional upgraded material of all porcelain, which they don’t cover on back teeth. As you mentioned we do have the capability and technology to do the crowns if office for our patients, however we label it as a lab fee because at times we do send cases to a lab depending on each patients individual needs. And as mentioned above any upgrade to material regardless of in house or lab is not covered. We try to be as up front as possible and try to help our patients navigate their insurance coverages. If you have any other questions we can contact insurance company on a group call and we can go over any coverage questions with them on the phone.

Dishonest billing practices, second rate dental work. I once was a patient, i had to have rework done.

The best experience one can have, at the dentist. The place is clean, the staff is outstanding. They are professional but also a joy to chat with while in the chair. When, of course, your able. Dr. Hoss is an amazing dentist. I hadn't gone in years and paid the price. After all the work he did, my teeth are in great shape.

I've been meaning to leave a review for awhile. This office is amazing, from the front desk, to the staff, to Dr. Hoss. I used to work across the street, which made for easy access. Now I drive up to Vista from Clairemont because I love them that much. I've had a lot of dental issues in my life, which brought a big aversion to dental visits. But Premier Dental Arts has eased a lot of my anxiety. They are caring and honest, cost effective, and do great work. I highly recommend--in fact, I do all the time!

I broke my tooth about a week ago. I called Premier Dental Arts and was able to get an appointment right away. Dr Hoss and his team are simply amazing. The entire experience from checking in to the painless injection and the procedure was phenomenal. Everyone made me feel extremely comfortable. I'm so grateful for Dr Hoss and his team. If you're looking for a skilled dentist and a friendly team in Vista, go check them out. You won't be disappointed!

I have a huge fear of dentists and thats since changed since being seeing by Dr. Hoss! I had gotten my wisdom teeth removed by my long time dentist and after noticing that I wasn't healing well my friend suggested I see Dr. Hoss. The entire office was so kind and Dr. Hoss was attentive and kept reassuring me while letting me know everything he was going to do to help me heal. I can't wait to go back!

I have been going to this dentist for over 5 years but will now be looking for a new one. Went in for my cleaning, when I was done I proceed to book my next appointment and was told it was going to be 52 dollars. I asked why I had to pay since I have never had to pay before. The receptionist tells me that it has always been like that. Unfortunetly I was in a hurry to get back to work so I paid. So, I called my insurance to make sure nothing had changed on my end and it all seemed the same. I called the dentist office back and now she tells me that the charge was due to me missing an appointment and the other 27 dollars because I got a "different" cleaning. None of it makes sense to me. If I missed an appointment and need to pay, I will own it and pay. The fact that I was lied to, and my card was charged is the reason I will never return.

Hi Rad this is Dr. Hoss sorry for your experience. I checked your account the error in your cleaning and fee associated with it was reversed and corrected the same day you were here. Again sorry if the charges were not communicated to you properly, please let us know if we can help further.
