The food is magical. Every thing we had was amazing and seemed to be made in house. We loved it. Just a great breakfast place for locals and tourists alike.

Really lovely spot for breakfast. Inside and patio seating. Not much parking and a little tough to find (Maps was off a bit).

Hash brown scrambles ash's stuffed hash browns were good. Everything about $15-17 or so. Good service. Recommended.

This is the type of breakfast place I wish was near me. Seems like typical diner breakfast food but super high quality, great portions, and friendly service. Also LOOK AT ALL THE HOLLANDAISE ON THAT STUFFED HASHBROWN. I didn't even ask for extra. I was in heaven.

One of the best breakfasts I've had in a very long time. The seafood omelet with poached cod and shrimp was so delicious. The service was extremely friendly and attentive. You can tell everyone works as a team there and is extremely efficient. We went on a packed Easter Sunday and the 65 minute wait was well worth it. Coffee is strong and fresh, too!

Never been until this past Sunday. Had some friends visiting from out of town and we needed to meet in the middle. So we met at Dons. Place is very busy on Sundays so I got in line on the website. (Highly recommended btw.) We were seated about 10 minutes past the promised time. Considering the 20 people waiting outside...good job Don. Ordered bacon and eggs. Everything came out hot and fresh. We had fast service with fresh hot food and the prices were a step down from most places. I'll be back when I go up to Oceanside.

Great breakfast and amazing service!!

I was dining here on a few occasions but never got to write a review . Now the time has come.

I have nothing else to say but great things about this restaurant. It's one of my top spots for breakfast. The foods they serve are super tasty and home made like. We were satisfied every time we ate here. They have big selection of tasty dishes on their menu at a fair price. The restaurant got so popular that they had to expand the seating area into parking lot to accommodate all the hungry guests.

During our last visit we ordered egg Benedict and machaca. Both dishes were equally delicious and very filling. The poached eggs oozed out as expected and machaca was very flavoursome. Make sure to order extra helping of tortillas to enjoy the whole machaca plate. Everything was seasoned right.

Since we are aregular customers here, our waitress Rikki J. recognised us and was super friendly as always. She made our dining experience simply awesome. We will be back for more soon again!!

Stumbled upon this place one yelp when looking for a breakfast/brunch spot. Family owned and operated and you can tell (in the best way). Staff was extremely welcoming, personable and you can hear that there are so many regulars that keep on coming. As we were waiting for our food to come out, my bf and I noticed that they had such a good assembly line and great communication that everything worked out despite the busy morning. When you have staff like that, it makes it such a pleasant experience.

Parking is extremely small, maybe about 3 or 4 parking spaces in front of the restaurant. Otherwise, it's street parking but there was enough to where you didn't have to walk very far at all.

I ended up recommending this place to a friend that used to live in San Diego as she's never heard of it. Would definitely come back!!

Carlsbad has a hidden gem...many trendy places down here but Don's Country Kitchen is real deal. The hasbrown stack hands down was fire and my grits were delicious. Food was fresh and fluffy & full of flavor.
Parking is a thing and Yelp to put your name on the list bc the wait is a minute.

Amazing food!!! It's diner food but better. Their biscuits are a must. Super family friendly. Excellent service.
