BEST SALON I'VE EVER BEEN TOO !!

I haven't gotten a hair cut in over 3 years, so I was kinda nervous to do anything but also very ready for change.

I had the pleasure of getting my hair done by Marie that day. She asked questions throughout the session making it a bit easier for me to relax and put my trust into her. When she turned me around for the final result I wanted to scream of joy because my hair turned out EXACTLY how I wanted it! I'm very happy with my hair and would love to come back and experience it all over again.

I want to thank the ladies for making me feel so welcomed and at home when I first walked in. It really helped calm my nerves.

The salon is well decorated and very clean. Not to mention Their killer playlist. I felt like I fit right in with everyone! My over all experience was great!

I'll be returning to Chapter One Salon again!! I definitely recommend this place over any boring salon any day!

Mary by far surpassed my expectations!!
I have been looking for a Hairstylist for such a long time and everyone I asked to put Carmel highlights could not do it. I've spent so much money lookIng for someone that would just listen to what I asked, Mary did just this. She is so skilled. I did not have to ask her to do anything she just knew what to do she knows what she is doing if you need a hairstylist I would look into Mary, she is the best!! (My Best)

I don't do reviews often--or maybe ever. However this review was needed: so listen up friends, I'm about to tell you a story (not really, just some opinions and thoughts).

We've all been through that hair existential crisis. You know the one. It's the moment when you look in the mirror and the thoughts are, "who am I? What am I doing with my life? I need to get things in order, but where do I even start? You know what will help? Changing my hair!" Yeah that moment. Well I was there and honestly, I probably would've done the whole "yeah it looks great" and then cried at home had I gone anywhere else. But thank my lucky stars that an ice cream trip landed me at Chapter One chatting with STACIE who was totes up for the journey of taking me from basic to firey.



So, here's the break down:
Have hair needs? Chapter One (Stacie keeps me looking as if I've tackled all the other questions with this firey do)
Have lash needs? Chapter One (Stephanie is The One)
Have some self care needs? Chapter One
Have some time to kill and don't know how to fill it and you just want to have some fun and good hangs? Chapter One (I mean, maybe. If you bring snacks)

All jokes aside, every experience here always felt so welcoming and easy. So, what are you still doing reading this? Go and book your next appointment, trust me future you is going to thank you!

I can't rave enough about the beautiful work Meghan does to my hair time after time again when I come in! She's been doing my hair for a few years now and every time I fall in love with the results. The work she does will have you feeling the same, guaranteed. Meghan's attention to detail is impeccable and the way she listens to exactly what you want as well as offering her best two sense really makes you know you're in great hands. I came in for a quick style the other day before an event and the results are pictured here.
As for the rest of the stylists they all have their own unique and professional style. The salon is clean and modern with an edgy flare that's attractive to the eye. I could hang out all day here!

Meghan is a hair savior!! She's young, hip, and talented.
When I checked in she greeted me right away and sat down with me for a face to face consultation. She listened to everything I had to say, and helped me bounce ideas until we had decided on how we wanted to approach my hair! She took her time, asked a ton of questions, and gave me the perfect haircut. I feel refreshed and cute again!
She's super knowledgeable about the products they use, and actually educated me about them! I really love the whipped cream mouse.
Meghan is a gem, I am for sure booking her again in the future!!

I heard about Chapter 1 on IG. I called about 2 hours before closing on my super last minute decision for drastic change. Alexis took me in & she KILLED IT! We did a cut(a LOT) & went red. I came back 6 weeks later and we did Purple. It's my ABSOLUTE favorite hair ever. I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! Vibes are awesome, people are amazing. HIGHLY reccommend

Since opening in December, Alexis at Chapter One has consistently taken great care of my hair. And I'm not someone who spends much time on daily hair maintenance. I had an idea of what I wanted, and she completely delivered. Her friendly, professional yet casual demeanor makes all the difference. She also maintains the perfect amount of conversation. No unnecessary small talk, just genuine human thoughts.

The location is great. Unlike a typical hair salon, I could hang out here on the big green vintage couch for a good while. It's got plenty of interesting magazines, of course, but half of its walls are glass and open to Oceanside PCH, so you feel connected to the sunny world outside. There's local art on the walls, a mini fridge with beverages, and even a ultra chill house pup named Rose. The space is huge. They have even started throwing events on nights and weekends, too. If you want to support a local business, and want to feel comfortable and catered to like an old friend, this is your place.

I loved my friend Eileen's hair and asked her who did it. She Introduced me to christine and the rest was history. We all know we want a place that makes us feel fabulous about our hair but they also can help you with your body, hair and eyelashes! I love the people there because the owner is a stylist and a mentor. They are constantly going to conferences and workshops to stay up on the latest styles so you never have to worry about getting a grandma hair cut. But if you're into that they'll help you out. If you want a place to feel good and support a girl who really is boss, come here!

Annalise is the best! She is the only person that I trust to do my hair. I love the vibe at chapter one, it's very laid back but you can tell that all of the stylists are serious about their work. They're all really nice too, and will chat with you/each other while you're there. I'd definitely recommend chapter one to anyone!

Walked in expecting to leaving cringing after getting my dead ends cut off and expecting to have hair that was waaayyy shorter than I wanted, but I left extremely happy with how my hair looked. I felt truly pampered and ALEXIS really listened to what I wanted and gave me many helpful tips on how to avoid damaging my hair and how to revitalize it. All I asked for was a trim, but I got so much more than just that. I left feeling like a totally different person, my hair looked and felt amazing! I got a lot of compliments on my hair from strangers right after leaving the salon! I will undoubtedly come back again because ALEXIS IS THE BEST
