Breakfast Club Diner

A super cute 80s-themed dinner located right in the beautiful town of Oceanside -- with lots of seating and hefty portions, it was the perfect place to stop by for a Saturday morning brunch on our way to Chula Vista. There are pretty paintings and funny witticisms on the walls.

For a party of 5 right around 11:30, it was only a ~10 minute wait and the service was so nice! They were super accommodating of any dietary restricting and brought extra salsa and silverware out as well.

The food here is classic brunch-diner food -- still SO good, though! I got the veggie skillet which comes with the skillet itself as well as two pancakes on the side. The whole meal was SO yummy, both the skillet and pancakes were some of the best I've had. Overall, great service and huge portions of tasty food for cheap!

This place is so unique in its inception and brings me back to my childhood!! We got to meet the owner's hubby-Perry goes to each table to chat and see how they like their meal!! Which I find awesome! Service is awesome and the food is amazing! I am so glad we found this place and the theme behind his logo and what he does here is amazing!! You have to go to eat here and enjoy the whole experience. It was so good to see someone from our home area doing such good work for the community and for his family!!
Makes me wanna come here every weekend!!

It was a delight to have brunch at The Breakfast Club. We sat outdoors and didn't find the foot traffic too disturbing being too indulged in our delicious breakfast. The Bacon and Waffles and Crunchy Munchy French Toast were recommended, so we split them DUH!!! Hehe. The waffles had bacon inside, and I wasn't too impressed. I did order a side of bacon and enjoyed that more. But... the Crunchy Munchy French Toast was so mouth watering soft buttery sweet DELICIOUS!!! I want more this second just thinking about it. The sides were crunchy from the frosted flakes, the inside was so soft, and of course I put hella butter, whip cream and syrup over it. It tastes just as amazing without all the extras believe me. But go big or go home right? Great service and the waitress kept my coffee cup filled. I'll totally be back!

Welcome back to my Socal vacation Yelpers. Today we are in Oceanside SoCal at BCDC for an 80's themed breakfast spot.

Service is always King with me. So far this spot is bringing it. Coffee on my lips less than 3 minutes after cheeks hit seats. A plus and growing on me.

Okay so if the service is good why the 4 star and not 5? Well initial service and service from door in to door out... vastly different.

I have to give her a bit of a pass because she is exhausted as today is here Friday. Who can't relate. Still. In thus industry the cost doesn't take weekends, nor should great service end to end.

To be clear, service was good, really good, but I am in a city with Brian at the last spot on full stellar mode. Would be to insult his service to give this place an equal when it was great, but not Brian level.

Food was great. My key is an over medium egg. Runny yolk but egg white must be done completely. The cook here nailed it.. nailed it completely. Pancakes were float away fluffy tasty oodles of good good.

Worth the drive. Thanks again Yelpers for finding me this winner.

Best breakfast around! Unfortunately they will be leaving Oceanside in the next couple months. They currently have out door seating only due to Covid.

We love BCDC! The owner, Perry treats everyone like family. From the moment you walk in the door you are transported back to an 80's inspired music journey! The murals and stained glass creations of 80's icons are the perfect touch to complete the vibe.
Now onto why we're here, the food! Oh my gosh! First of all the coffee is always fresh! And they'll fill you up until you're a jitterbug!
They're famous for their ribbon cut hash browns. Simply delicious. You'll never want greasy, boring griddle hash browns again. Cause Perry's are the bomb! Pancakes as big as your face! Light and fluffy too. Omelette creations. And, of course a breakfast burrito that will fill you up!
A true GEM in the heart of downtown Oceanside!

Stopped by here on my drive down to San Diego from LA.

The iced coffee was delicious... Get it!
The hot chocolate was also very tasty

We got the corn flake crusted french toast combo (with two sausage links and two eggs.)
I ordered two more eggs over easy, and they were perfectly cooked.

We also got the half order of biscuits and gravy (rich and flavorful gravy, peppery and soft buttery biscuits)

The portions were substantial! Especially with the french toast! Three thick cut bread pieces cut in half.

I would say order a combo to share if you get the french toast or pancakes.

Overall I had a great experience, and I believe the owner made his rounds, I appreciated that.

Great place! Fun atmosphere, great music, and delicious food. The Bloody Mary was the best I've ever had, it was perfectly spicy. The biscuits and gravy were also incredible.

Not only was the food spot on but the service was excellent the whole time. Typical diner with a cute and fun environment.

This place is awesome! Perry, the owner is so friendly and approachable. The place is 80s tastic! Classic 80s music playing, 80s Movie Posters, and really good comfort food. There's even a PAC Man arcade machine!

So delicious here!
The best chicken fried steak I've ever had. The hashbrowns are fresh and perfect crisp to them! The gravy has a great consistency to it, not too thick and not to light either. Good coffee as well. The service is wonderful! My coffee cup is never empty and the staff is friendly!
I think this is officially my new breakfast spot! Cant wait to try other items on the menu.
