Event Description: Come Together at Oceanside Museum of Art this summer for the Art After Dark Beatles Tribute featuring the live music of HELP, the premier Beatles Tribute Band in Southern California. A special exhibition of Beatles photography from the VPV photography collection will be on view in the OMA Parker Gallery from June 11-19. Beatles: I Saw the Photograph features a collection of vintage and modern photographs that take you on a magical visual history tour of The Beatles illustrious career featuring works by iconic photographers such as Annie Leibowitz and Linda McCartney. San Diego fashion designer Stacie May will debut her current collection, Eternal Reverie, during a 60’s mod style fashion show. Participate in the group mural project facilitated by artist Bryan Snyder who will outline a portrait of John Lennon that will be filled in with a magazine collage. Get crafty in the OMA sculpture lounge where you can create a beetle out of found objects. Award winning film producer Marc Jonathan De Jesus will premiere his most recent project on the façade of the building while San Diego artist Todd Sanders works on new paintings live at the museum. Enjoy libations from the Lost Abbey Brewery and tasty nibbles from local restaurants. GanoCafe will be serving up healthy organic coffee, and go-go dancers will perform their moves to all the greatest Beatles hits. In the photo corner will be a mock "Abbey Road" scene for guests to take pictures in homage to the Beatles iconic album. Also, upstairs will be a documentary film about the Beatles that will feature them live in concert. Tickets for Art After Dark are $25 or $20 for OMA members and can be purchased the night of the event or in advance by calling 760.435.3721. OMA invites guests 21+ to Art After Dark.
