Event Description: Cellist Janet Steinberg presents a Recital of baroque, classical and romantic music. Janet joined the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra as Associate Principal Cellist in September 1987. An active chamber musician, Janet has performed with numerous ensembles in Vancouver and in the San Francisco Bay area. Accompanist: Nikolai Maloff who is well known to Oceanside audiences, runs a successful private studio in Vancouver and teaches at the School of Music at U.B.C. Event sponsored by: Thrifty Foods Refreshments courtesy of: Quality Foods Our final recital in our 2011 series of winter spring concerts, entitled “Mozartiada”, is an eclectic program of Mozart’s music. Performance date: Sunday, May 15. Please check our website at www.vancouvislandopera.com for the announcement of our full-length opera production which will be performed November 5 and 6, 2011.
