Event Description: Explore the history and techniques of botanical photography at a special two-part workshop program Photo-Botanics: Botanical Photography Then and Now February 26 and 27. On Saturday February 26 at 2:30 p.m. at Oceanside Museum of Art participants will enjoy an illustrated lecture on botanical and conceptual photography by Michel Tcherevkoff, Canon USA Explorer of Light, followed by special private tour of the exhibition Botanicals: The Photography of Imogen Cunningham. The illustrated lecture is free with admission and open to the public, you do not have to sign up for the workshop to attend the illustrated lecture by Michel Tcherevkoff.   On Sunday, February 27 at 12:30 p.m. workshop participants will visit the San Diego Botanic Garden for a special hands-on opportunity to try out Canon’s renowned cameras and lenses to create their own botanical photography masterpieces. Canon and OPT specialists will be on hand to guide and assist participants. Fee for private exhibition tour, entrance to the San Diego Botanical Gardens, and photography workshop is $50.
