Event Description: Latin/Afro-Cuban Drumming Learn to play Latin/Afro-Cuban rhythms on drums, bells and shakers. Take an amazing “tour” through the Caribbean and South America, and experience how music is the universal language. Students will learn proper drumming technique, basic music theory and how to read music. For the final class, students will perform individually and/or in small groups. Supplies: Students must bring their own instruments (i.e.: congas, bongos, timbales), paper and pencil. Students are also welcome to bring auxiliary percussion instruments, such as bells, shakers and claves.
