Event Description:
A fun gala with refreshments and appetizers will be held at 6:30 p.m., Friday, April 2, on the opening night of a new stage production at the Sunshine Brooks Theater downtown Oceanside. It's a family-friendly comedy “Faith County II: An Evening of Culture”. Imagine Romeo and Juliet with a South-Western accent! The prices for gala (includes show ticket) are: $30.00 for adults, $27.00 for seniors, $23.00 for military and students (13 and up), $20.50 for children (12 and under). Oceanside’s New Vision Theatre Company presents “Faith County II: An Evening of Culture”, a play by Mark Landon Smith, directed by John Kalb, from April 2 to April 18, Fridays & Saturdays at 7:30 p.m., and Sundays at 2:00 p.m. (except no performance will be held on Easter, April 4) at Sunshine Brooks Theatre, 217 N. Coast Highway, Oceanside. It’s a play-within-a-play scenario. People of a small Southwestern town in Arkansas decided to produce “Romeo and Juliet”. Never mind that the leading lady (=Mildred) is a bit older than Juliet or her Romeo (= Bubba) for that matter, or that some of the characters would rather be elsewhere. It is an evening of laughter! Regular show prices are: adults $17.00, seniors $14.00, military $10.00, students $10.00, children twelve years and under $7.50. Discounted “group rate” tickets are available for 20 or more adults. Flex tickets (five performances for the price of four good thru Aug 1, 2010, mix-and-match shows) are $55.00. It is preferred that reservations are made ahead of time, especially for the gala. For tickets please call 760-529-9140.
