Event Description: Please join The Elizabeth Hospice Center for Compassionate Care for the first annual Wings of Hope Butterfly Release on Saturday, May 1 at 1:30pm at the Carlsbad Senior Center located at 799 Pine Ave., Carlsbad. Community members of all ages are invited to attend and to sponsor butterflies in memory of loved ones. The afternoon will include music, inspirational readings, and a release of butterflies followed by a reception. The butterflies will be released simultaneously as memories are shared among family and friends. Event attendance is free. A $25.00 donation is appreciated for each butterfly release. All donations benefit the work of The Elizabeth Hospice. No prior hospice affiliation is necessary. Family event. The Elizabeth Hospice’s Center for Compassionate Care has been created to centralize programs and services offered to children and families coping with the diagnosis of a serious illness or adjusting to the death of a loved one of any age.
