Event Description: In 2005, after years of steady growth, North County Health Services implemented an ambitious fund raising initiative “Connecting Children to a Healthy Future” to ensure that the 29,000 kids (enough to fill more than 1,000 classrooms) who annually receive comprehensive health care services at our eleven health centers, continue to be cared for. Specifically, the funds raised by the activities of this initiative—the Annual Campaign and Annual Golf Classic—pay for pediatric care, such as dental check ups, asthma care, childhood obesity counseling, car seats and glasses. Our Annual Campaigns and our Fore For Kids Golf Tournaments have raised well over $1,000,000. We are now in the planning stage for the Sixth Annual Golf Classic, “Fore for Kids VI,” as part of our “Connecting Children to a Healthy Future Initiative.” The tournament will be held on Friday, August 20, 2010, at the Lake San Marcos Resort and Country Club, one of North San Diego County’s premier golf courses. The price of registration will include a day of fun, sun, food, beverages, prizes and 18 holes of fabulous golf. An entertaining awards ceremony, dinner, as well as opportunity drawings and auctions will conclude the day. Registration will start at 11:00 A.M. for a 12:30 P.M. shotgun start. The tournament will be played under a scramble format. Nearly all of the previous FORE FOR KIDS tournaments have been sold out and great fun!
