Event Description: Welcome to The One Minute Cannabist: Oceanside's first Cannabis Education Center. Many people are interested in using cannabis for medicinal purposes, but not sure where to begin. Cannabis 101 is an introduction to this healing herb and how we can best benefit from its use. It is presented as an overview in an easy to understand and interactive seminar format. Participants will explore: A little history of cannabis as medicine Components of cannabis – from CBD to THC to terpene profiles and more The human endocannabinoid system: explaining why & how cannabis works in our body Various therapies for using cannabis – smoking isn’t the only option How to go about implementing cannabis in an informed, safe and effective manner Who should attend: This workshop is ideal for those who have never used cannabis, have not used in 10 or more years or for experienced cannabis consumers who want to learn more about the physiology of why cannabis works and the basic components of the plant.
