Event Description: Downtown Oceanside’s New Vision Theatre Company is holding auditions for a mystery thriller “Postmortem”, a Sherlock Holmes type whodunit, which is to be staged at Sunshine Brooks Theatre from January 29 to February 14, 2010, Fridays & Saturdays at 7:30 p.m., and Sundays at 2:00 p.m. (except on Super Bowl Sunday at 12:30 pm). The theater is looking for 4 males: 2 in their 50’s (one for a lead role of an actor “who has played Sherlock Holmes for 30 years”; the other, of course, Watson) and 2 males in their 20’s - 30’s. Also seeking 4 females: 1 in her 50’s, and 3 in the 20’s - 30’s age category. All roles are open. Cold reading from script will be required. No monologues will be necessary, but welcomed. Although it is Sherlock, British accents are not needed. Audition dates are December 7th (Monday) & 8th (Tuesday), 6:30 p.m. at the Brooks, 217 N Coast Highway, Oceanside. New Vision Theatre Co. operating Sunshine Brooks Theatre is a 501c3 non-profit organization and an official participant of the civic revitalization program from the city of Oceanside.
