Event Description: MiraCosta College’s International Languages and Film departments present these compelling films this fall: November 1: “Index Zero” (Italy/UK 2014) United States of Europe 2035. Some humans are not sustainable anymore. This film is being curated by the San Diego Italian Film Festival. Directed by Lorenzo Sportiello. This film is not rated. 90 min. December 1: “A Better Life” (USA 2011) A gardener in East LA struggles to keep his son away from gangs and immigration agents while trying to give him the opportunities he never had. Directed by Chris Weitz. Rated PG-13. 98 min. Each film will screen at 3 p.m. in the MiraCosta College Little Theatre (Room 3601) at 1 Barnard Dr. in Oceanside. The films will be presented in the original languages with English subtitles. Admission is free.
