Event Description: Starting with a controller, robotic brain, and boxes full of structure pieces, teen engineers will build a robot to meet a challenge, Freeze Tag. Using a pattern, they will build a chassis with sensors. Their robot will need to gather points in the game and avoid being tagged by other robots. The second half of the event, they will rethink their design, modify, and get creative. The event ends with a fun competition. Who can beat the challenge, and who can do it the most creatively? This fun introduction to robotics is for those entering grades 6-12 and no prior experience is required.
