Event Description: Daniel Martinez, artist of Cafe con Muertos, will lead a free hands-on paper-mâché calaveras art workshop at the museum on Sunday, November 1st from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Participants will create three-dimensional characters from paper and glue with an assortment of embellishments. The workshop is for kids ages 6-up. Martinez teaches workshops at schools throughout Southern California and is currently working on his 59th mural, a commission for the Museum of Latin American Art in Long Beach, California. This free paper-mâché workshop is part of the museum’s Free Family Art Day program and includes all necessary materials, no experience is required.
