Event Description: The Oceanside Public Library and the Friends of the Oceanside Public Library are proud to present The Bassett Bros. as the finale performance for the 2015 World Music Series. This free concert will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2015, in the Civic Center Library Community Rooms located at 330 N. Coast Highway. Performance time will be 1:00 p.m. Free parking is available in the Civic Center parking garage. The Bassett Bros. are an identical twin guitar duo whose performances showcase a wide range of music from medieval to Metallica. Sean and Ian have played as a duo since the age of fourteen. Their diverse repertoire includes music from the Renaissance, Baroque, and Classical eras and spans to more contemporary genres like Rock, Blues, and Heavy Metal. Through a mix and match of varied styles, the brothers provide unique interpretations of concert hall classics. Sean and Ian both earned a Masters of Music in Classical Guitar in 2012 from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Doors for this free performance open at 12:45 p.m. and it is open seating.
