Event Description: The Life Time Tri- Oceanside will be held on Sunday, Oct. 25, 2015 in Oceanside Harbor, Calif. The event is the final event in the 2015 Life Time Tri series and the Toyota Triple Crown Series finale. Life Time Tri Oceanside is a multi-sport event that includes an international-distance course and sprint-distance course. Visit our Life Time Tri information page for special room rates and group travel information. Life Time Tri Oceanside will start with a swim in the waters of Oceanside Harbor. Athletes will enjoy an oceanfront transition before starting a bike course along the San Luis Rey Mission Expressway. The run course follows white, sandy beaches allowing for a spectator-fueled finish adjacent at the historic Oceanside Pier. The International Course includes: .93-mile swim, 24.8-mile bike and a 6.2-mile run The Sprint Course includes: .48-mile swim, 15-mile bike and a 3.1-mile run The Life Time Tri Oceanside will support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, which is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other deadly diseases. Life Time and Toyota are also pleased to announce the 2014 Toyota Triple Crown cash purse will be presented at Life Time Tri Oceanside. The Toyota Triple Crown Series is a new dimension in triathlon that brings additional drama and excitement to three existing Life Time Tri events: Life Time Tri Minneapolis, New York City Triathlon and Life Time Tri Oceanside. The newly created Series awards $50,000 to the top professional female or male triathlete who competes in all three Toyota Triple Crown events. The Toyota Triple Crown winner is declared at Life Time Tri Oceanside using an ‘equalizer’ time handicap format judged by Life Time. Along with professional athletes from around the world, Life Time Tri events attract more than 25,000 elite and age group athletes each season. Professional and elite triathletes will compete in international-distance and relay team competitions on courses.
