Event Description: Understanding a traumatic brain injury (TBI) and/or Post-Traumatic Stress can be confusing. Recognizing the impact this has on families can be overwhelming. Join us to learn how to implement practical steps and ways to support yourself and your family. Hear from caregivers who have participated in Operation Family Caregiver. Speakers include the Honorable San Diego Supervisor Bill Horn; Clint Pearman, MS, with the Defense and Veterans Brain Injury Center; LCDR Kenneth Richter, DO, CPE, FAPA with the Division of Psychiatry at Camp Pendleton Naval Hospital; and Kassy Mason, MSW, with Southern Caregiver's Resource Center's Operation Family Caregiver. Directions:
Enter Main Gate from Highway 5 (have license, car insurance & registration ready to show at gate and use visitor lane on the right if no military ID). Almost immediately after the gate, merge right onto Wire Mountain/Del Mar exit. Stay in left lane. Turn right onto Wire Mountain at light. Turn left onto San Jacinto Rd at stop sign. Pacific Views Event Center is on left side as one proceeds to end of street.
