Event Description: Soroptimist International of Oceanside-Carlsbad is proud to present its 34nd Annual Salad Luncheon on Thursday, March 19, 2014. This year’s signature event is Underwritten by Tri-City Medical Center and Championed by Pacific Marine Credit Union and Karen Bond. A complete list of sponsors can be viewed on the SIOC website. The luncheon will be held at the Junior Seau Beach Community Center, 300 North The Strand, Oceanside. Luncheon hours are from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Plenty of free parking is available on the Strand—North Pier, Beach Center, and South Pier lots. Tickets are $15 and may be purchased from any SIOC member, or by calling (760)757-9857. Featured in the buffet line will be homemade salads and chili along with hot breadsticks courtesy of the Olive Garden. Club members create the desserts that will be served with Williamson Strawberries and Starbucks coffee. Celebrity Gentlemen Servers don Soroptimist aprons and make sure that all our guests are well-served. Manning the service team in style will be members of the Oceanside and Carlsbad City Council, local businessmen, media representatives and other community leaders. Proceeds from the Annual Salad Luncheon are dedicated to the Soroptimist Community Service Funds which are distributed annually to dozens of worthy, local nonprofit organizations, who will be recognized at the event. Soroptimist International of Oceanside-Carlsbad meets at noon on the first and fourth Fridays of the month at El Camino Country Club, 3202 Vista Way, Oceanside.
