Event Description: “Back to the Future,” a collaborative painting experience with artist Madeline Sherry, will allow participants the opportunity to paint a 10”x10” canvas section of one of Sherry’s paintings that will result in a collaborative large-scale finished artwork at the next Artists@Work on October 10 from 6 to 9 p.m. Ms. Sherry is one of the featured artists in OMA’s concurrent Art Auction exhibition and upcoming Art Auction event. Working as an artist, teacher and writer in San Diego since 1972, her work includes figurative as well as abstract paintings that draw on her experiences growing up in New York City. Advertising images and photographs from the 1940’s and 50’s provide continual inspiration for her current body of work. Each Artists@Work event is designed to give guests a first-hand look at the creative process while engaging with different diverse artists. This creative happy hour includes complimentary light appetizers from The Privateer Coal Fire Pizza and an open beer and wine bar featuring Stone craft beer.
