Event Description: Soiree on the Strand: Be the Change Poverty, homelessness, hopelessness; are these word that make you sad and that perhaps provoke you to make a difference? Get off the couch and head to the beach on Sunday, August 11 from 2-5 PM Come for North County’s 5th Annual Soiree on the Strand: Be the Change. This event to be held on the Oceanside Strand is a collaboration of local and international non profits coming together to promote change in our community and abroad. Beautiful products from around the world will be available to purchase from Indian scarves, Balinese clothing from designer Indah to African purses and jewelry. All purchases will make a positive change in the lives of those who have created these items. You can explore other ways to get involved in changing the world by finding more out about environmental issues, homeless rescue and changing a child’s life through World Vision. Bring your kids out to get their face painted and enjoy our interactive Insects and Arts booth. Relax to Mediterranean live music and interpretive dance by Dunamixtour. Come nibble on Shave Ice, hors d’oeuvres and drink Café items by Cafecito. The Soiree on the Strand : Be the Change will be held at 105 The Strand South, Oceanside, 92054.
