Event Description: "Improv for Actors” is an acting class that will teach basic improvisation games and techniques. An actor needs to be believable and make interesting and bold choices. Improv is a great tool to unlock your talent and free your impulses. The instructor, Patrick McBride, has taught for the Old Globe, the La Jolla Playhouse, The National Shakespeare Theatre, and the Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts. Patrick incorporates a variety of styles including Meisner work, Stanislavski training, and improvisation games and will push eager students to be honest, passionate, and ‘in the moment.’ No experience is necessary, just a willingness to go for it.
