Event Description: Meeting Notice Carlsbad The Democratic Club of Carlsbad-Oceanside will hold its regular meeting 10 a.m.-noon, Saturday, April 25th, at the Carlsbad Woman's Club, 3320 Monroe St., Carlsbad. Guest speaker will be Julie Baker of "Power of Vision" -- a Carlsbad group which is leading the fight to stop NRG West from building a new fossil-fuel power plant on their 95-acre Carlsbad beach property, site of the existing Encina Power Station.
