Event Description: 2009 is the International Year of Astronomy. One of the cornerstone events of IYA2009 is 100 hours of astronomy. To commemorate this event OPT, as a founding sponsor of 100 Hours, will be hosting a Star Party. We will have multiple telescopes set up at the store with astronomy experts on hand to share the night sky and educate the public about the Universe we are all part of. We will be looking at the moon, Saturn and lots of really cool and interesting things visible from Oceanside. This event is FREE to people of all ages and will be fun for the entire family..this event is weather dependent.
