Event Description: Directed By: David Schulz Musical Direction: Sandra Kopitzke Anything Goes is a classic musical comedy that takes place aboard a ship full of a wacky group of passengers, including a nightclub singer, a gangster in disguise, stowaways, and more. ANYTHING GOES is one of the most successful and durable musicals of the 1930’s and an American classic. The age-old tale of "boy meets girl" and no musical puts it on stage better than ANYTHING GOES. This show is an amusing story wrapped around one of Cole Porter’s sparkling scores featuring such delightful songs as: It’s De-Lovely, Friendship, I Get A Kick Out of You, All Through The Night, Anything Goes, You’re The Top, Blow, Gabriel, Blow, Take Me Back To Manhattan, and Let’s Misbehave. It’s a wonder that all the romances are sorted out and disaster is averted aboard this magical ship where ANYTHING GOES! Auditions are open to all children 7-18 years of age. Please come prepared with 1 minute (16 bars) of a song in the style of classic musical theater on a with CD accompaniment only (no background vocals).
