Event Description: Human Resources is more than just being able to get along well with people; it involves labor law, proper hiring, employee relations, retaining your top performers, training, and much more! Most small business owners are forced to wear multiple hats, one of which is Human Resources. Without the proper understanding of the rules and regulations that pertain to employees, small businesses could find themselves victims of employer predators. During this workshop, you will learn: -Common legal mistakes small businesses make with regards to their staff (W-2 and 1099) -Proper techniques for hiring the right person -Legal and illegal procedures for handling everyday employee interaction -AND MUCH MORE!!!
