Event Description: Juxtaposing organic shapes to create a lyrical sense of design, Lee Silton’s three-dimensional wooden wall sculptures have an intriguing sense of motion while exploring universal themes of encapsulation, isolationism and escapism. Her largely abstract work is expertly crafted through the layering of wooded panels painted in a monochrome or polychrome scheme. This exhibition traces the trajectory of the artist’s career over the past ten years, focusing on a collection of pieces that show her evolution of style from a more figurative approach to a stronger abstract sensibility. Free for OMA members, students and military and complimentary with museum admission.
