Event Description: The Democratic Club of Carlsbad-Oceanside will hold its regular meeting 10 a.m.-noon, Saturday, March 28th, at the Carlsbad Woman's Club, 3320 Monroe St., Carlsbad. Guest speaker will be journalist James O. Goldsborough, formerly a staff writer on international affairs for the San Diego Union-Tribune. Mr. Goldsborough's topic will be, "The State of the Economy, the Bush Legacy, and the Problems Obama Faces.” He will also touch upon his newly released book, “Misfortunes of Wealth.” Refreshments.
