Event Description: The Boys & Girls Clubs of Oceanside (BGCO) will inaugurate their new gymnasium by hosting a basketball game between the Oceanside Police Department and the Oceanside Firefighters on April 18. Guests of honor for the ribbon cutting will be Mayor Jim Wood and representatives from the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce. Event is free to the public and prizes will be raffled off courtesy of Trader Joe’s, California Comedy Traffic School, Henry’s Farmer’s Market, 333 Pacific Steak and Seafood Restaurant, United Studios of Self Defense, State Farm Insurance and more. The event is also made possible by our friends at Guaranty Bank, Little Caesar’s Restaurant, Jamba Juice and Subway. Free hotdogs will also be available while they last. Doors open at 3:00 PM with the game starting at 4:00 PM. Donations and sponsorship opportunities are still being accepted. Location is at 401 Country Club Lane, Oceanside.
