Event Description: First Annual Oceanside Paddlefest Offers a Fun Family Day on the Water! OEX Oceanside and Oceanside Outrigger Canoe Club Present a Kayaking and Canoeing Celebration with Lessons, Fishing Derby, Prizes and Philanthropy at Oceanside Harbor On April 25, 2009, a special day of paddling fun and information is planned at the Oceanside Harbor. The day will feature a kayak-fishing derby with a first place prize of $500; on the water demos of Hobie Kayaks and Outrigger canoes; vendor displays, raffle prizes, seminars and more. Raffle proceeds to benefit Hubbs White Sea Bass Research Institute.
