Lamvin, Inc., is the leading manufacturer of quality, custom architectural acoustical products. Lamvin opened its doors for business in 1961 and offered an array of wall and ceiling finishes—from LAMinating VINyl on wallboards (hence the name LAMVIN) to manufacturing ceiling and wall acoustical treatments. In the 1980s, while under new family ownership, acoustics became the primary focus as the need for noise control was becoming more prevalent in new construction and re-development. Since that time, Lamvin has continued to expand their line of acoustical products to become the leading United States-based manufacturer of quality, custom architectural acoustical products.
At Lamvin, we have experienced steady growth since then. We attribute our success to our innovative products, our excellent lead times, and our friendly and responsive customer service. We like to think that our premium products are only a part of our success, and that our commitment to meeting customers’ needs makes all the difference.
As a woman owned family based business, we pride ourselves on partnering with our customers while helping to meet diversity requirements. Lamvin strives to understand the ins and outs of each project and to meet all deadlines—even with the tightest production schedules. We have built long-term relationships with acoustic installers, subcontractors, and general contractors. Architects and designers rely on Lamvin to manufacture their design to fruition with assurance that every product will meet or exceed their expectations for quality and value. Lamvin distributes acoustical products across the globe for all types of applications in a variety of styles—all from our factory located in Oceanside, California.
Our standard fabric is acoustically transparent, 100% woven polyester. Standard specs are 66 inches wide, 2-ply, 16-ounce fabric. Fabric is bonded directly to the panel face with all edges wrapped to the back of panel to ensure a flat, wrinkle-free surface with tailored corners.
Your acoustical panel finish choices are endless. Choose your own material, or here are some links provided to a few of our recommended textile manufactures for your fabric selection.
Please note not all fabrics are suitable for premium acoustical performance.
Lamvin, Inc. strives to be a leader in not only our own environmental efforts and contributions, but also to help our clients achieve the same objectives. We help our customers attain the LEED points and credits required for sustainable green buildings pioneered by the US Green Building Council (USGBC). Not only do our products help our customers achieve LEED objectives, but our manufacturing processes and materials go beyond the minimal requirements established by the USGBC.
A few of the methods we have implemented to help us become more responsible to our environment are:
Adhesives used in our manufacturing process have zero VOC’s emitting no harmful chemicals into the air
Our 57,000sf manufacturing plant has been completely retrofitted with energy saving lighting with motion sensors
Our computer driven product manufacturing process optimizes all jobs for minimal waste, diverting that waste from our landfills
Our large format CAD driven waterjet machine used for custom and large production jobs allows for perfect accuracy, highest material yield and virtually no production errors, once again, diverting unnecessary waste from our landfills
