Summer Art Camp Returns To Oceanside Museum Of Art For Five Weeks Of Creativity And Imagination FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Young artists in grades 1–5 will explore, imagine, and create with two different themes during five weeks of Summer Art Camp. All camps run Monday–Friday, 9:00am–3:00pm and are limited to only 15 campers per session. OMA members at the Dual/Family level and above enjoy a reduced rate of $275, visitors rate is $350 (per week-long session). All campers will be invited to show their work in a final showcase at OMA on August 12. Ocean Inspiration (3 sessions) July 9–13 July 23–27 August 6–10 There is so much inspiration for projects lurking just below the surface of the ocean and in campers’ imaginations. A variety of media including paint, clay, collage, and printmaking will be explored to represent what these young artists in grades 1-5 envision. All About Me (2 sessions) July 16–20 July 30–August 3 Self portraits in a variety of media such as paint, clay, printmaking, and collage will reflect how these young artists in grades 1-5 see themselves and how they want to be seen. Free Open House May 6 Bring the kids to get a taste of what’s planned for Summer Art Camp. Sample art projects, meet our new education director, and explore the exhibitions for free. Plus, register for camp during this special event and save $50 per session. If you join OMA at the Dual/Family level or higher during the Camp Open House, not only will you save on camp, you’ll also get a fun Blue Q bag as a gift.
