Escape From the School of Hard Locks Escape Rooms are one of the world’s hottest trends – and April 5, 2018 is the grand opening of Coastal Oceanside’s newest escape room: the School of Hard Locks in Artist Alley at 212F North Coast Highway. Whether you’re looking for a team-building exercise or an hour of fun with your friends, the School of Hard Locks is the place for you. Participants are locked in a room and must escape by working together to decipher a set of complex clues. It is a game that tests your wit, ingenuity, creativity and ability to collaborate with others. At the School of Hard Locks, you get 60 minutes to escape from one of four rooms (Kindergarten, Geography, P.E. and Science Lab) in a school that was abandoned in 1970. The door is locked. Somewhere in the room is the key to the door. There are all sorts of clues, puzzles, riddles and mind-twisters pointing to the key’s location. You just need to work as a team to figure them out. Everything in the room is from 1970. To succeed in escaping, you must quickly adapt to the way things were more than four decades ago. For companies looking to build teamwork or evaluate their employees, this game provides unique insights into a person’s leadership, communication and collaborative strengths and weaknesses. The creators of The School of Hard Locks, Sandy Keehn and Tony Duckett, have spent decades as management consultants working with companies ranging from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies. It is this experience that led them to create the School of Hard Locks as the ultimate team building opportunity. Come celebrate with us for the ribbon cutting at 3pm on April 5, and enjoy $10 tickets all week in honor of our Grand Opening.
