The Bread of Life needs your help and support! The Bread of Life Rescue Mission is located at 1919 Apple Street in Oceanside, CA. This organization serves the Poor, Hungry and Homeless in a six–city area of North San Diego County. (Oceanside, Vista, Carlsbad, San Marcos, Escondido and Encinitas) In the winter months, Bread of Life provides a drug free and sober-living 50- bed overnight shelter for those needing assistance in starting a new beginning. Year round, they provide warm evening meals, sack lunches, food boxes, clothing, personal care items and referral services, in addition to offering spiritual encouragement. The number of individuals they assist can range from 50-150 per day. Bread of Life operates a multi-faceted food distribution operation, providing packaged foods to approximately 10,000 individuals per month. All officers, directors and staff personnel volunteer their time and talents to provide assistance and compassion to the hungry, homeless and working poor in the community.
