I moved to Oceanside a few months ago and needed an emergency Tetanus shot. I was so relieved to be able to get right into Oceanside Urgent Care. I was in and out very quick with no complications and very little wait.
I have come to the office for several other routine and non routine check ups over the months and wouldn't go anywhere else. The office is so cute and homie and also very clean. The staff is always so friendly and even though there have been staffing changes over the months that I've been going there I've still been really happy with the way I'm treated at this office. Jeff Holter is great and very knowledgeable and Jacquelin the Manager always remembers me and is very helpful. Going to the doctor sucks but they make it easy and pain free!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Christian B.Oceanside, CA1402Mar 30, 2021Updated review
Avoid this scam
At ALL cost! Unless you want to pay 125 for the "doc" to tell you to take ibuprofen and drink water like I already have been doing for a cracked tooth! Could've saved $125, anywhere could of taken better care of my well-being than this dump. A complete scam and robbed for my money for a 5 minute visit that the doctor pushed on my swollen tooth an made the pain way worse! To come back to tell me take ibuprofen. Like I already haven't been taking that medication ahhhh what a nightmare!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

We see our patients as family, so we always want them to feel at home at our office, Christian. It's wonderful to hear when that's the case. Thanks for the kind words!
Sincerely,
Randy, Management of OperationsMar 29, 2021Previous reviewStraight scam. Avoid at all cost. Doctor could care less about your well being and charged me 125 for ibuprofen...wow! good Now here I am at the ER wasting more time in pain...Never again!!

My Husband just went to this place for a piece of metal in his eye. They took him into the room where he waited for over an hour for them to come in and tell him that they didn't have the magnet needed to get the metal out of his eye. They knew this when he first got there and still put him in a room and made him wait. He wasted all that time that he could have been at the right place to get the help he needed.
Thank goodness he didn't pay the $125 for this waste of time.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Julie R.San Diego, CA046Jul 17, 2021
I saw Dr. Meyer today for an initial appt for THYROID AND HRT.
I recently moved to area and he was recommended to me.
The girl working front desk was very nice and informative.
Dr. Meyer was the sweetest man. The wrote me an order to
have my labs drawn and evaluated.
I like this place!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - luci r.Oceanside, CA60115356Nov 1, 2019Updated review
You can go ahead and remove whatever you want from your review but I have copies of your previous writing and I have already taken it to the appropriate authorities .
Oceanside Urgent care has no authorization to disclose my personal information to the public .
Why are they writing on their response to my review that I am an immigrant? Your response is prejudice and it has the purpose to cause me harm . If I am harassed by the public I will seek legal Assistence.
Regarding the response to my review . First I am American , I was not comparing your service to any other country yet but I should because even Mexico has a better care than yours and I am not Mexican , France it's even better, free health care there for visitors .
Regarding the medication prescribe to me , I will not take it because my current doctor from another facility advised me not to use that medication it's not suitable for my condition, at his office my blood pressure read 133/92 , no medication should have been prescribed , much less without an advise of a real doctor.
My health and my life is a very important to me and it shouldn't be in the hands of incompetent people like you .Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0Business owner information

We understand the difficulties of understanding health care. We always provide all receipts to all our patients. Often our patients turn these into their health insurance when they arrive home, for reimbursement, which is why we provide detailed receipts that states exactly what was paid for. When patients request labs, these are not provided by any local, county or state government, nor are labs provided free of charge from the lab doing the work. We try to make lab work as affordable as possible for our patients. It is sometimes possible to do limited lab work until you can refill your medication with your doctor from home. We offer both choices. In the United States, our providers can be MD's, DO’s, NP's or PA's and we have all these types of providers working at Oceanside Urgent Care. They are all highly trained and licensed to examine patients, prescribe medications and give medical advice. That is the service that we provide. We are extremely happy when problems are reduced due to medication. That is the beauty of medication! When medication runs out, is forgotten or lost, it can be life threatening, so we do our best to help patients in stressful life situations. Stress reduction through meditation, massage, walking in nature, getting good rest is also very helpful to calm the nervous system.
Oct 30, 2019Previous reviewI AM AN AMERICAN CITIZEN (disclosing information after I was called an immigrant ).
MY EXPERIENCE AT THIS PLACE HAS BEING THE WORST I HAVE EVER HAD IN A DOCTORS OFFICE .
How do I even start , so many mistakes and misleading actions was done .
I am waiting to have my blood test return to me , so let's see how many more mistakes they will do .
I went here for hypertension problem (high blood pressure ).
After waiting almost an hour inside a small room, a very young inexperienced lady couldn't take my hypertension test correctly, someone else was sent to do it for the third time .
I was never seen by a Doctor , but a nurse practitioner came and didn't check me at all , she talked about my hypertension and gave me a very strong medication for my heart and blood pressure .
I was skeptical of taking medication without having any exames done so I requested a few blood test to check my overall health before taking any Medication.
The same young lady that couldn't take my hypertension test came to take my blood , I refused being assisted by her , she was very inexperiente . A second inexperiente staff came and after I requested again someone with some experience finally came and took my blood .
She was the front desk manager , she started talking about her mother high blood pressure and convinced me to buy a treatment for it . She told me her mother was cured by taking these supplements.
I was then sent to the bathroom to get a urine sample then the front desk manager Jackie entered the bathroom and told me secretly that she was exchanging some of the supplements in the box and giving me something else but I shouldn't tell any one what she was doing ( later I understood it , she was giving me the cheaper supplements instead of the more expensive ones for the same price ) she made me believe she was being very kind to me by giving me something special for a great value but she was actually ripping me off.
A bill was never given to me or any kind of paperwork, Jackie walked to me with some numbers written in a piece o paper and told me to pay $390 for the visit and exames . I paid and I still didn't get any paperwork for my visit , only a credit card receipt .
I left the office , then I started realizing all the misleading stuff : first the supplement they sold me for $60 I can find it at Walmart for $15 to $20 a box . Second I realized I was never seen by a real doctor and never examined either. I was not allowed to talk to the doctor even after I requested because I had questions about the medication he prescribed me ,they refused to let me talk to the doctor about my concerns, I was afraid of taking the medication without talking to a real doctor or having my exames back from the lab .
I was told Dr. William only sees his personal patients from HMO , I was never going to be able to talk to him .
That explain it all , no real doctor , a bunch of mistakes and misleading info , the front desk lady gave me my prescription without any doctor or pharmacist going over the instructions on how to use it .
I was told later after I paid the $390 that if I wanted to have all my blood test done I needed to pay $150 more . Seriously? First they give you a price , you pay then they say you owe $150 more or take a hike ...
I don't even trust them anymore with all my blood test but they refused to refund my money .
I was not paying a cent more and I wanted my money back from the supplements( she tricked me to believe it was a medical prescription ).
They refused to refund the $60 supplements and I was treated worst than an animal . They literally told me I was upsetting their patients at their office and I should leave the office . Seriously I had a 166/100 blood pressure and I was being treated like trash and I was upsetting their patients.
I guess after they took my money I stopped being a patient .
I went straight from their office to an emergency care with real doctors . I am still in disbelief, the real doctor I saw at the other facility told me my blood pressure was 133/92 and I should not take any medication because it would cause me to have some serious low blood pressure .
OMG seriously they made a wrong diagnosis and gave me medication that could have killed me .
I still don't have my exames , I am out of $390 for nothing just a very bad day that I didn't have to go through at all . - Julie K.San Diego, CA1264741Jul 28, 2018Updated review
5 stars! I really like the waiting room. They have tranquil music, coffee, tea and it's just really a different type of environment to be in when you're at the dr. Very relaxing, spa- like atmosphere.
I have to add on to my review to say a special thank you to Randy for always fitting me in when I have an emergency. You guys are so helpful and always make me feel better when I call. Other providers in the past make it seem like it's a bother when you need to be seen and unsure if they have time for you. I call Oceanside Urgent care and Randy's motto is always come on In so we can get you to feeling better. Thank you So much! You can tell Randy and the entire staff truly care about your health.
I also buy my supplements here. They carry Pure brand supplements. I buy my complex B and Vitamin D pills here and they are better priced than online.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Jan 3, 2017Previous review5 stars! I really like the waiting room. I've gone here for several issues. Each time I never waited longer than 10 minutes and always enjoyed my conversation with Randy. They have their own pharmacy inside but can't fill ever prescription under the sun. The nurses there are quite incredible and caring. Everyone here is very diligent and friendly. I love their waiting room set up and always feel completely comfortable coming her with any issue that I have. They have a vitamin bar!! As a veggie eater B-12 is something I lack so getting the B-12 shot while I'm there for a visit is easy. Overall you're going to be well taken care of, carefully examined, and offered the best care. The whole staff is incredible.

If you have fever symptoms, don't come here. Go to CVS with an appointment for a free covid test and buy some Robitussin. Just saved you a pointless trip to sit for over an hour and a half to find out what you already knew. Doctor recommended fluids, Tylenol, robitussin, and wouldn't take my temperature with an actual thermometer. They charged me $125 (deductible) and their covid test is $200.

Jacqueline lied on my name and reported to my caregiving company that I had abused my client in front of her. She made up an entire lie about me being "rude and grabbing my client and cursing during his visit."
Well, needless to say, I'm still loved very much by my client and THAT IS A FAKE CLAIM!
I should probably report this girl.
They also poked him for an entire hour for blood work, with three different girls attempting to do so with no avail.
Then, after begging them to stop and find a better way to help my client, they sent me somewhere else to do what I originally asked for!!!!
All we asked for was a finger poke blood test but they lied and told me California requires a full bottle. Sooooo, hoooow come after hurting my client and bruising up veins, YOU TELL ME TRI-CITY can do the finger test???????!Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Hannah S.Oceanside, CA6596155Mar 10, 2018
This post has been long over due. *Lengthy post ahead*.
Health background:
I have paid multiple visits to Oceanside Urgent Care and Family Practice, and they have always exceeded my expectations.
As a young mother, grad-student, while student-teaching, my schedule is extremely impacted. Often times, the stress of my demanding schedule makes my body become inflamed to the point where I am unable to walk. Or it happens randomly... I have Degenerative Disc Disease in my lumbosacral spine, scoliosis, sciatica (ouch) and neuropathy in my hands. My mysterious pain onset began in childhood and it's anxiety inducing.
Five Stars:
Randy is the best: He is a welcoming and a comforting presence. He is also extremely knowledgable about insurance providers, and will even get on the phone with them to make sure you do not end up with a large bill months later.
Cleanliness: 10/10
Bedside Mannor: 10/10
Prompt: 15-20mins for per visit/follow-up & 30-45 mins when it's crowded.
I recommend calling Randy ahead of time to schedule an appointment.
Professionalism: Randy, and the staff has met all my needs as a patient.
In my experience, it takes 4-8 weeks to get into see my providers. Whether it is my primary care doctor, or my referrals to Neurology. Not to mention that drive is nearly 1 hour away every time. That being said, I am often inflamed or running out of my medications before I can see my primary. Randy and all the staff has been extremely objective with me, and treats me as an adult suffering with pain. Historically due to my "young age", the vast majority of practitionors did not believe my chronic conditions, despite hard copies of evidence in front of them.
Patient's voice matters in your healthcare plan: During my intake, I told staff that I have extreme inflammation, from my issues. A Toradol shot helps me with immediate suffering along with the combination of Naproxen and Mobic. At times I get severe panic and anxiety due to my health issues, so thankfully the Doctor offered a reasonable solution for that. I have *never* experienced doctors suggesting pain meds as part of my treatment, which makes me feel at easy to come here.
Compassion: Most importantly, O-side Family Practice has brought justice to my chronic conditions, and has helped me advocate with my medical team about what is/isn't working well for me. I feel like their team are the only ones to offer sympathy for my situation.
Thank you for all of your help!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0Business owner information

Hannah, we believe patients should be able to advocate for themselves and be responded to accordingly by caring professionals. It means so much to us to be the professionals our patients can trust when they need urgent care. Thanks so much for the kind words.
