Thursday I just walked in to receive a highlight on my short hair. I've been here at Oceanside College of Beauty many time but today was the best !
I got student stylist Brook M. .... wonderful gal. My hair turned out exactly the way I wanted it !
She extremely fast and I noticed her concern was making sure I was going to happy with color they suggested. She is also a makeup artist and check her instragram account and you can see some of her work.... I believe she'll be there until August, when at that point she'll be graduating!
Give her a try, you'll love the end results!

Just got back from the OCoBS. What a great place. I've been a client there for many years and have NEVER had a bad experience. I want to yell out a loud KUDDOS to whom ever are the trainers at this facility. Ms. Gwen is amazing and today I had Alexandria. Kathy, their receptionist/Front Desk Manager/Gatekeeper is wonderful as well. Kathy runs the show there.
I have been to other salons in the past and have payed WAY more with the results being just OK. At the Oceanside College of Beauty Salon my results are OUTSTANDING....but most importantly the staff and hair specialists are AWESOME. Thank you so very much. I am a life long customer. I am SO pleased with my hair today! Yesterday I went to the Oceanside College of Beauty salon to get the red out of my hair, which I had been coloring for over a year with box color. The instructor, Gwen, and the student, Amber, listened very carefully to what I wanted, and made it happen. My hair is very long and fine, and they got it back to a more natural rich brunette, plus gave me a trim that didn't cause it to lose too much length. My hair looks and feels so much better! Plus, the price was less than half of what I'd pay at a regular salon. The only downside was I had to stop by for a skin test a few days beforehand, but it wasn't a big deal. And a protip: bring a sweater - they keep it cool inside!

Great salon, affordable and friendly staff and students. The students and instructors do a fantastic job. They are mindful to give you exactly what you are looking for in your haircut. If you're doing color, just make sure you have a good amount of the day to spend there, but it's totally worth the time!

I LOVE this place. Kathy runs the phones and assignments and is great at pairing a stylist in training to each waiting customer.

Is this the most professional job you'll ever have done to your hair/face/nails? Probably not, they're still students. However the teachers work hard with each student to make sure they do what's best for you, and for the price you can NEVER complain. And if you do? They'll fix it for you. It hasn't happened to me (over the past 2+ years), but I did hear of a lady once, also named Jessica, that was coming back for a fix. Who wouldn't love that?

Great place, and completely worth it. $20 for a dye touch up each month is better than the $100++ I had to pay elsewhere!

For anyone looking into a beauty school, I definitely recommend this one! I recently graduated last march and got my license soon after! The instructors there are awesome! They'll help you with everything and anything. The state board passing rate was extremely high, which was why I chose this school, and it did well for me. (Definitely do your research and compare it to any other colleges passing rates, you'll see)
It's also very family-like, your here for at least 7 hours a day 5 days a week so everyone is so close!

I love this place. Everyone is so friendly and nice. It's very entertaining to look at all the cool and different hairstyles and colors (purple, pink, etc) that the students wear while you are getting your hair done, too!

I have had cuts and highlights done here several times. The prices are GREAT!! $45 for highlights, you can't beat that.

I recently went there for a color correction on some botched highlights by a stylist at another salon and the student worked very hard with her instructor to correct the problem.

The only drawback is that you will spend 3 to 4 times as much time as normal because you are taking part in a teaching experience. If you are looking to get in and out quickly, this is not the place for you.

Very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful instructors. Students, although still learning are extremely confident and professional. Sara Turbeville completely turned my hair around and made it magical! We consulted the condition of my hair and what I would like to achieve and she worked wonders! Great prices for great services offered in a learning environment. Although I don't live in CA, I visit often, and will be booking an appointment upon my next visit!

So happy to have discovered the Oceanside College of Beauty!!! Received probably the best haircut I've had in a very long time by HOLLY! I was very specific on how I wanted my hair cut and she totally listened to me and kept checking in to make sure she was on track .
With a little help from her instructor, I felt very confident and comfortable as I know she was trying a couple of new moves!! Will absolutely go back !!!

I have been getting my hair done here now for over a year!! I have never been dissatisfied and the cost is a fraction of what you would pay in a regular salon! Today Brooke M. Coloured and cut my hair!! She is terrific and will be there until September.
