Wanted something sweet after I had my birthday lunch. Had a Home made "CHOCO-TACO" which was bomb. The ladies were so nice they gave it to me for free for my birthday! Great selection of candy and home made jewelry. Definitely my new favorite candy shop!

If you're looking for some delicious icecream AND happen to be at the Oceanside Harbor, come check out Nana's and Pops Sweet Shop!
This small mom and pops icecream shop is serving up the community with a wide variety of flavors that can bring you back to your childhood
From pralines, to almond, to vanilla, huckleberry and death by chocolate... Nana's and Pops Sweet Shop is a one-stop shop for ALL!
Please all your sweet teeth needs here and get taffy, pop-rocks, lollipops, icecream sandwiches, pickles, hard-candy and so many more styles of candy
You can find so much goodness here and although it's a little crammed inside due to limited shop size, you have enough space to wait in line and shop to see all the various types of sweet-treats available!
Next time you're in Oceanside Harbor, I highly recommend passing by here and grabbing a waffle-cone or a cup of some deliciousness!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Shelley M.Vista, CA04440Jan 23, 2024
Can't imagine this shop ever getting a bad review.
It is the 'Cutest' little icecream shop with Yummpy Candies & even Clove & Blackjack Gum and treats from Baby Boomer eras. Good choice of icecream while getting to sit out front and watch the Seagulls & Pelicans along with the Boaters & Fishermen in the Harbor. What more could anyone ask?Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 444559Jul 7, 2023
Delicious ice cream, fun atmosphere with old school candies, and friendly employees. This place is always packed, but the line moves quickly. They are nice enough to let you try samples until you find the flavor of ice cream you like. Our group of 20 tried a variety of flavors. The favorites were Kona Coffee, Chocolate, Mint Chocolate Chip, Huckleberry, Chocolate Peanut Butter, Praline Pecan, and the kids always love the Superman.

My son and his church youth group and leaders (very large group) went here every week during June and July, easily spending over $200 a week. My son paid for his ice cream and never received his change back - which was over $15. I walked back with him to get his change, and the male employee told me that my son had "walked away". Now if you've ever been here, you know how tiny this ice cream shop is so obviously not only was my son with a large group waiting for each other, but he could not have gotten too far for this employee not to have given him his change back. Both the male employee and the female employee were very rude and acted inconvenienced that they had to go in their TIP JAR to give my child his money back. Dishonest and unethical employees and business. Do not go here.
UPDATE TO OWNER CHRISTINA'S REPLY:
The fact that you are trying to claim that your customers leave up to $15 in change behind 90% percent of the time as a TIP for your employees is just plain pathetic. You are a dishonest person with absolutely zero integrity and clearly run your business the same way. Maybe you can take the thousands of dollars our church spent at your business and buy yourself some character and ethics.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 2Business owner information

My son in law , an extremely respectable former marine, informed me about the situation. He pleasantly tried to figure out the situation and figure out where the person who served your son put the change. You rudely pushed him to hurry and told come on it’s not that difficult.. your rudeness to a simple mistake made a situation 100% worse . My employees deal with people leaving $15 tips and also just leaving the change 90 % of the time so no one had a second though about it and you rudely confronted my employees as if they stole his money. That they should have left a store full of people to make 100 % you son didn’t leave a tip. Your money was returned and I feel your one star review I totally uncalled for. My employees are human too and should be treated as such… mistakes happen and yours was resolved with the same attitude you gave I’m good with that because I reviewed the Videos….

My family and I have been going to the Harbors ice cream shop for decades. This last weekend we walked in and the guy behind the counter rudely stated "Do you not know how to read, you entered though the exit only door, go around the other side." it took me a moment to realize he was speaking to my children/niece(a group of young girls) the lady behind the counter with him glanced over to us to see our reactions, while they both smirked at his rude comment. I immediately looked at my daughters and niece and said "let's go." I turned to the two employees and said "we will exit our ass' out of here" he then said "there's no need to act like that." This establishment is not what it used to be, we will never return. And I 100 percent will tell everyone I know how disrespectful the employee is and how the owner condones his behavior.

Stopped on whim after seeing the sign. Line was out the door, so I knew it had to be good. Only 1 friendly employee, served everyone quickly so the wait wasn't bad. Candy and knickknacks to peruse while waiting. I got the coconut pineapple in a waffle cone. Large portions, kids scoop was plenty. I liked it well enough to come back a second day in a row!

We had a hankering for ice cream and Nana's & Pop Pops was nearby so we gave it a try.
The ice cream was mediocre. It was more ice than cream, probably made with lower quality ingredients and they were out of almost every single flavor we wanted. We blitzed down the menu and literally one in five flavors were "sold out" which I might expect on a blistering July afternoon but on a dreary January day I think you can communicate better. Just cross it off the sign and save us all some trouble.
As far as service goes, we've definitely had better. When we asked the counter person what her favorite flavor was, she peered up from her phone like a deer in headlights. We had to repeat ourselves twice because she couldn't seem to be bothered to put her phone down. Also, I find it odd that an establishment requires patrons to wear masks, has a strict COVID policy for number of people inside the building and a whole ingress/egress flow (you go in one door and out the other) but the person working the counter isn't wearing a mask.
The upside: prices were reasonable and the servings were large. They had some cute hand crafted items for sale and interesting candies to purchase as well.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

I’m so sorry. It’s been an extremely difficult issue with our manufacturing plant. We usually carry cascade glacier ice cream and they have had issues in their plant for over 6 months. We do our best to keep what flavors we can in we really hope this issue is fixed soon because we hate disappointing our customers.
