Hazard painting has done three projects for us. Each project went perfectly. Precise workmanship, open and honest communication, courteous team members. The 3rd project went beyond our expectations. They painted our 20 year old cabinets.
The end result was better then the original surface when the cabinets where brand new!!! Amazing.

I've been wanting to paint some rooms in my house but I really wasn't feeling it as I'm not a painter. I'm a pretty handy guy and I can generally fix stuff, but I don't do my own plumbing, I don't do my own dentistry, and guess what? I'm a terrible painter. I've got bad lines, bad shading and always spilling it.

I go to visit my parents place here in Oceanside...and holy cow! Their house looks brand new bitchen! I ask the Major (my father) and he tells me how he had Hazard paint the outside of the house. And it was awesome! So I get Jason's number from my mum and I call Jason.

Jason comes by and we chat a bit, talk colors, ideas, pricing, scheduling, etc.

On scheduling day, Troy shows up right on time. Friendly, knowledgeable and super personable. Troy is the guy you go have beers with and hang out with the family.

In the meanwhile, I ask to have my back wall deep red. The WORST color because it shows every imperfection with the dry wall. Every little bump, nail hole and old scratch is amplified. Troy smooth's all those suckers out and retextures, and retextures, and retextures....you get the point. My paint was sooooo dead that Troy had to go over it with his magic several times and made it super bitchen.

In the end, as I'm writing this, I'm scheduled to get my master bedroom and bathroom painted in two weeks.

Consider this a dual review as Troy got me fixed up and I got Hazard from my folks getting their house painted.

After a strong recommendation from a good friend, we contacted Jason at Hazard painting, and we are so glad we did! We can't say enough about Jason and his crew! They did a great job on the exterior of our house. They arrived at 7:00 each morning and did a great job of clean up at the end of each day. Really good attention to detail. The crew was very responsive to questions and went the extra mile to ensure a terrific job. We still have more work to do, with new garage doors to be installed. Once that is done, we'll post a picture to give justice to the job Hazard did for us..

Next step ... getting a quote from Jason for sprucing up several places inside the house :)

Honestly cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience with this company from start to finish. Prompt appointment to get a quote. Prompt sending of bid, which seemed extremely fair. Prompt scheduling (a few weeks out) when requested. Team did a beautiful job powerwashing and patching stucco, a meticulous job prepping, and a gorgeous job painting. All the craftsmen were super friendly, responded to any requests, cleaned up EVERYTHING. Seriously, can I give them 10 stars?

Jason and his crew did an amazing job on the exterior of our house from beginning to the end. They arrived promptly every morning at 7:00 and got right to work. We love our new interior! Travis and his crew were awesome! Respectful of my antiques, taped and covered up everything! It took 4 guys 4 days to complete our 2500 Sq ft. Home!! They're based in Oceanside but did travel to Mission Viejo!

The quality of their work was fantastic. The crew and Jason the owner were professional, efficient and extremely careful.

Although I will do much of my own painting, Jason's team has painted both the inside of the old part of our house and a new unit of 1800 Sq Ft attached to our house for our daughter,SIL and two grandchildren. Jason's team has always been outstanding both in their respect for our house and their interactions with our family. You do not need to look elsewhere!

Addendum: after nearly three years the side of the new unit facing south had a blotchy look. Jason came over, brought along the man from Sherwood-Williams and decided that for whatever reason the paint did not hold up to the elements. The side was repainted without any questions and without charge. That is service to the max!
